Litigation is the handling of lawsuits, in and out of courtrooms.  There are complex rules of procedure for lawsuits, which varies in different level courts, such as Justice Court, County Court, County Probate Court, County Court at Law, District Court and Appellate Courts. 

 

Michael Trefny has practiced in all of these in a number of different types of cases. He has not only tried cases to judges and juries but also handled appeals to the Texas Supreme Court. At this time, he handles cases principally in Colorado, Fayette, Austin and Lavaca County, Texas. He is always happy to assist out of town attorneys by acting as local counsel.
